We builtPlustownbecause we needed it.
A home for plus-size people in the Middle East — built by us, for us, with the door wide open.
We tried every platform built elsewhere. None of them spoke Egyptian, knew what العزومة was, or treated our bodies as the default. So we built the room we kept looking for — and left the door wide open.
To make plus-size life in the region safer, louder, and more joyful — online and off.
What we stand for
Five promises that shape every screen, every post, every meetup.
Celebrate, don't accommodate.
Plus-size bodies are the default subject — not an edge case. Pride leads, every time.
Soft room, loud spine.
Generous, warm spaces with zero tolerance for fatphobia. Safety isn't a disclaimer — it's the structure.
In the language we actually speak.
Egyptian Arabic is authored, not translated. Three first-class locales, every component reviewed in all three.
Weight-neutral by design.
No BMI, no calorie tracking, no before-and-afters — visually or linguistically. We didn't even build the fields.
Owned by the community.
Moderators are paid, trained on HAES, and plus-size themselves. Decisions are made from inside the room.
What you won't find here
Five exclusions — enforced by absence inside the product. We didn't even build the fields.
- Weight-loss content or wellness-as-shrinking.
- Before-and-after framing, visual or verbal.
- Stock imagery that crops our bodies out.
- Medicalised or apologetic language about being plus-size.
- BMI, calorie tracking, or weight fields — anywhere.
The humans behind it
Plus-size, by us, for us. A small team — with room for more.
